How to reach Muktinath Temple from India ?
Muktinath is the oldest Lord Vishnu temple in the universe. It is the most sacred destination for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Muktinath Temple is very famous among Hindu pilgrims in India. It is often compared to Kedarnath in India, lying peacefully in the lap of the Himalayas. The Muktinath Temple tour is also considered a journey of salvation.

Options to Reach Muktinath Temple
There are two main options to reach Muktinath Temple: the fly option and the overland option.
Fly Option
There is only one international airport in Nepal — Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The airline city code for Kathmandu is KTM. You can easily check flight schedules and fares from any part of India to Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu, you can also visit Pashupatinath Temple, which is the largest Hindu holy temple in Asia.
Fly Option 1: Kathmandu - Pokhara - Jomsom (By Flight)
From Jomsom, you can take a local jeep or bus to Muktinath. Moreover, you can trek to Muktinath from Jomsom or ride a horse. The choice is yours.
Fly Option 2: Kathmandu - Pokhara (Flight) and Pokhara to Muktinath (Helicopter)
You can charter a helicopter from Pokhara to Muktinath for a quicker and more comfortable journey.
Fly Option 3: Kathmandu - Pokhara (Flight) and Pokhara to Muktinath (Jeep)
You can also travel from Pokhara to Muktinath by private jeep, which is roughly a 10-hour drive. Alternatively, you can take a local bus to Jomsom from the Zero Point of Pokhara.
Note: From Kathmandu, you can also take a night local bus to Jomsom. It is around an 18-hour nonstop drive. From Jomsom, you can easily reach Muktinath by local bus, local jeep, or private hire jeep. We can also provide a private 4WD jeep for the entire trip from Kathmandu to Muktinath and vice versa. Additionally, luxury tourist buses from Kathmandu to Pokhara are available.
Overland Option
There are two easy border crossings from India through which you can enter Nepal for the Muktinath Temple tour.
Raxaul Border:
You can enter Birgunj from the Raxaul border. From Birgunj, you can easily get a bus to Pokhara, which is about 260 km and takes 7-8 hours. From Pokhara, various transport options to Muktinath are available, as mentioned above.
Sonauli Border:
You can enter Bhairahawa from the Sonauli border. From Bhairahawa, buses to Pokhara are readily available. The distance is approximately 180 km and takes 6-7 hours. From Pokhara, you can choose the transport options to Muktinath previously described.
