Trekking by itself is an enthralling experience, and trekking to Ghandruk is excellent. The Ghandruk trek route is not challenging, making this trek suitable for most age groups. Trek to Ghandruk starts after driving from Pokhara to Nayapool, then from Nayapool to Kimche. This drive offers stunning views of hills and mountains along the way and takes about 4 hours. The bumpy drive on narrow roads is exciting altogether. Upon reaching Kimche, there is a trekking trail of stone steps; hike for nearly 1.5 hours to reach Ghandruk. Driving to Kimche from Pokhara and walking to Ghandruk is not an actual trekking experience but a tour activity. However, extending the journey to Poonhill gives you the full trekking vibe.

In Ghandruk, you will have time to explore the Gurung Museum. The authentic Gurung Museum offers the chance to take photographs in traditional Gurung attire. All this driving and hiking is not only for the museum experience but also for the stunning views of Mt Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli, Macchapucchre, and others, as you will be at an altitude of around 2600m.
