Macchapucchre Model Trek is new trek trail in Nepal. This trekking trail offers spectacular view of panoramic view of snowcapped Mt. Machhapucchre, Mt. Mardi and the Annapurna Himalayan ranges. Thus this trail offers serene experience of the wonders of the world at their unique and pure beauty.  Similarly, the trek trail passes through Tatopani of Sardikhola , Hile of Ghachowk. Rivan of Lahachowk, Lwanghalel and Milanchowk of Hemja.  Furthermore, this virgin trek trail was inaugurated by Swiss Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Thomas Gass on December, 2009.

The mixing of rich social legacy of various ethnic gatherings like Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Damai, Kami, Sarki, Chetri, Newar, and Brahmins, and so on with the eye getting perspectives of snowcapped mountains like Mt. Mardi, Mt. Machhapuchre, and Annapurna Himalayan extents from the nearness. Furthermore, the chance to encounter the mixes of rich greenery and fauna, mountain timberland, fluctuated feathered creatures species, wild blooms, wild creatures, and normal hot spring are supplementary attractions for guests of numerous types.

Information!

The Mardi-stream Valley in Rivan and Lahachok range is a proper place for swimming, angling and watching transient winged animals. A characteristic Cave framed by shake and limestone and Tea garden are alternate attractions of the territories. It is by all accounts the most pleasurable laying place on the lap of Nature. It is here that one can appreciate consummate peace and quiet; while resting one has a craving for ruminating.

Similarly, Flaming Red Rhodendron, oak trees, waterfalls and village life comprising of ethnic lifestyle of Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Damai, Kami are some of the attraction of this trail. Moreover, The large number of wildlife, flora and fauna, birds make this trip memorable and once in a lifetime memory. Furthermore, One can know the ethnic lifestyle and culture of the local community of Dhital, Lwang-Ghalel, Rivan, Macchapuchre, Ghachowk and Lahachowk that have successfully preserved Gurung culture, art and Handicrafts.

Itinerary Overview

  • Day 1 : Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to Hotel.
  • Day 2 : 6 hour drive to Pokhara City. O/N in Pokhara.
  • Day 3 : Trek to Lachok and Ribhan. O/N in Ribhan.
  • Day 4 : Trek to Odane Hill and Chichimle Kharka.O/N in Kharka.
  • Day 5 : Trek to Kharka and Khumai. O/N in Khumai.
  • Day 6 : Trek to Khorchorn and Kharka. O/N in Kharka.
  • Day 7 : Trek to Gibli and Tarka . O/N in Tarka.
  • Day 8 : Trek to Imu Kwiwan and Lwanghalel. O/N in Lwanghalel.
  • Day 9 : Trek to Mardi Pool. O/N in Lokpa Mardi Pool.
  • Day 10 : Trek to Pokhara. O/N in Pokhara.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to Hotel.
    Upon arrival on Kathmandu, Duke Nepal Adventure representative will receive you and transfer you to the Hotel. Later our representative will brief you about your upcoming Annapurna Base Camp Trek and will introduce to our trekking team. Duke Nepal Adventure will host an evening dinner at one of the finest local restaurant with music and ethnic dance. Overnight at Kathmandu
  • Day 2 : 6 hour drive to Pokhara City. O/N in Pokhara.
    After having breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara via Tourist Bus. It will take approx. 6 hours to reach Pokhara.
  • Day 3 : Trek to Lachok and Ribhan. O/N in Ribhan.
    After breakfast you can start your trekking from Pokhara to Ribhan village via Lachok. It takes about 04 to 05 hours easy walking, then overnight at camp
  • Day 4 : Trek to Odane Hill and Chichimle Kharka.O/N in Kharka.
    Today you trek to Chichimle Kharka. Experiencing the majestic views, rhododendron forest, beautiful villages, flora and funna, it takes six hours to trek from Ribhan to Chichimle via Odane Hill.
  • Day 5 : Trek to Kharka and Khumai. O/N in Khumai.
    The trek starts from Chichimle kharka with gradual climbing the hill, most of the way to through untouched forest of oaks and rhododendron with occasional view of the Annapurna range. The village offers you a unique close-up view of Mount Annapurna South (7219m) , Fishtail, and Hiunchuli (6441m). Overnight at Camp.
  • Day 6 : Trek to Khorchorn and Kharka. O/N in Kharka.
    Trail leads to Kharka via Korchung village from Khumai all the way of descends and flat through the Oak and Rhododendron Forest. Trekking time takes about 04 hours. Over night in Camp.
  • Day 7 : Trek to Gibli and Tarka . O/N in Tarka.
    Today early in the morning you will start your journey for Tarka . After photographs and hot tea at Gibli, the trail leads to Tarka which winds through heavily forested areas of large rhododendron trees. Over night in Cam
  • Day 8 : Trek to Imu Kwiwan and Lwanghalel. O/N in Lwanghalel.
    From Tarka, an easy downhill walk through the villages with the ever present view of the central western and eastern Himalayas, a short steep descent brings you to the Lwanghael. Over night in Camp.
  • Day 9 : Trek to Mardi Pool. O/N in Lokpa Mardi Pool.
    Lwanghale Trek to Mardi Pool , the route almost descending and flat through the bank of Mardi River and passes several villages and comes Mardi Pool. Overnight at Camp.
  • Day 10 : Trek to Pokhara. O/N in Pokhara.
    Today will be your last day of the Machhapuchhre Model Trek. A half-day descent will bring us to Mardi Pool, from where you take the bus & transfer to Pokhara.
