International Buddhist Conference, Nepal

International Buddhist Conference, Nepal has started in Kathmandu, Nepal.  Nepal is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The main objective of the conference is to commemorate the great three events of the Lord Buddha. Furthermore, It is the birth, the enlightenment and to spread messages of Buddhism: non-violence, brotherhood, co-existence, love, peace etc.

Nepal is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and to highlight the Lumbini, Nepal and the foundation of Buddhism. In the international arena is other general objectives of the conference. Similarly, besides that the scholars from the International Buddhism Community are addressing to establish Lumbini as the center of interfaith and peace dialogues and to develop Lumbini as the fountain for world peace.

The conference formally was opened by the Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. KP Sharma Oli by lightening the Panas (lamp). The Buddhist scholars, speaker of Parliaments, delegates, government personnel, media personnel, professors, and students are attending the conference.

Furthermore, The conference goes in different level when Ani Choing Dolm appeared on stage with the veteran musician of Nepal Nyoo Bajracharya, Raman Maharjan and Gopal Rasaili. She performs her greatest hits incuding Phool Ko Aakhama.

Similarly, the event in Kahtmandu is lasting till tomorrow and on 21st may Buddha Jayanti and ‘Lumbini Day’.  The participation of Minister from relates Ministers from various friendly countries, national and international Buddhist dignitaries, scholars and aspirants.

Similarly, The organizing committee is formed under the Chairmanship of the Right Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal and has executed under the chairmanship of Honorable Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

Furthermore, the organizer of the conference is Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Government of Nepal. Similarly, the co-organizer of the conference are Lumbini Development Trust, Lumbini Buddhist University, Nepal Tourism Board, Buddhist Philosophy Promotion and Monastery Development Committee, Non-Resident Nepali Association, Dhammakaya Foundation-Thailand, Bhrikuti Himalaya Foundation and Chinese Buddhist Association.
